MY BACKGROUND & PERSONAL NOTE
I am a Mississauga Personal Injury lawyer. I have a special interest in trial advocacy.
I started my professional studies at the Dhaka Medical College to become a Medical Doctor. After two years of medical studies, I liked medicine, but could not find my passion in medical profession. So I discontinued, and simply joined University of Toronto's downtown campus, where I studied mathematics, economics and Middle East studies to graduate with B.A. Hons. with a High Distinction. I followed that with an M.A. in Economics from the University of Waterloo. After working in Crown Corporations, think-tanks and in Waterloo/ McMaster University Economics Lecturer positions for two years, I enrolled in Toronto's Osgoode Hall Law School, and obtained Juris Doctor (J.D) degree in 2011.
After articling/internship with Legal Aid Ontario's downtown Toronto office, I was called to the Bar in June, 2012 by the Law Society of Ontario. In the same year, having a family back-ground in law, I founded Hannan Hannan Barristers (HHB).
In law, I finally found my professional soul. I am from a family of lawyers. My father was a lawyer, and two of my brothers are lawyers. Lawyer's work is my profession, passion, obsession, and love. My diverse background, my two years of professional medical studies, and my non-stop pursuit for knowledge enrich my spirit and passion to excel and overcome the challenges of representing plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful dismissal cases, and in court trials.
Outside law, I love my time with my wife Afifa and my three sons Tahmeed, Ibrahim and Ilyaas. I believe and pray to Allah (Arabic for God). I exercise to keep my Kung Fu kicks that I learnt as a child. I read and listen interesting lectures. I serve the community.
I am fluent in English and Bangla.
